Shabbat Services

Shabbat

Shabbat is a special time at Camp Pembroke – one that even visitors warmly remember as the most memorable part of camp. We welcome Shabbat each week with services in the outdoor chapel lead mostly by campers. After a traditional Shabbat dinner the entire camp participates in a spirited session of song and dance.  Our services and Shira sessions, as well as our Israeli dance session on Friday evenings, make for very special memories. Shabbat morning services are lead mostly by campers, afternoon activities encompass a variety of Jewish and Zionist themes for all campers, and Shabbat ends with Havdalah in the dining hall.  Everyone enjoys celebrating our Judaism at Camp Pembroke.
