Land Sports
Land Sports are a vital part of the daily program. Counselors attend specialty workshops before camp to learn new teaching skills and refine existing ones. Campers are scheduled for instruction in many activities under the supervision of counselors with expertise in these areas and quickly find themselves playing with confidence. Programs offered include:
Aerobics, Basketball, Cheerleading, Field Hockey, Gymnastics, Lacrosse, Martial Arts, Running, Soccer, Softball, Field Hockey, Newcomb, and Volleyball.
Horseback Riding, Ice Skating and Golf are offered as special electives that take place at facilities outside of camp.
A Tennis program that includes the U.S. Tennis Association’s ladder and tryouts for participation in inter-camp matches like the annual “Tevya Invitationals,” a multi-camp tennis tournament.
Archery program led by certified instructors where campers can earn awards.
Campers may also try out for competitive teams and participate in inter-camp games.
