The setting for Camp Pembroke is a friendly and engaging woodsy campus that includes 24 cabins. Bunks and group activities are organized by age so campers are at ease, but still have the opportunity to share their talents and interests with younger and older girls.
Many camps assign a “big sister” to new campers but long ago we knew that this wasn’t necessary at Pembroke, where “big sistering” comes naturally. We are aware of each other here, and it is common sight to see an older girl taking the hand of a younger one to offer comfort or guidance. From the camp director to the bunk counselors, we know each girl by name, and appreciate her special interests. All campers grow as individuals but also feel valued by the entire Camp Pembroke community.
